Approximate measurements 3/4" x 3/4" x 5"
Colour and pattern may vary slightly from the pictured blank, due to the manufacturing process.
Please note, mica pearl can be a brittle material to work with. On close inspection, chipped edges are visible on the blank which shows the potential brittle nature of the material.
It is recommended:
- Cut a mica pearl blank ¼” longer rather than the 1/8” you would normally practice, as this will help keep the blank useable.
- If the drill bit breaks through the bottom, it may chip, therefore it is advised that you drill slowly to avoid this from happening.
- Cut it back, or use your barrel trimmer to remove the excess.
- When turning, it is recommended to use a scraper rather than a gouge to prevent the gouge edge digging into the material and chipping or breaking the blank.
This will take longer than normal, but on the plus side, once finished and polished, the results are stunning!

"This may have been from a bad batch as it was very brittle while turning and it eventually broke off from the brass tube. I was kindly offered a replacement without question. I have had no issues with any other resin blanks."

"I like this pattern. Subtle whisps of white show off against the rich black colours. I’ve just drilled one blank, which left me with no problems. However, the cut edge of the blanks I received were pretty ragged and unsightly, way too much chipping. Only time will tell if these blanks turn the same way as the previous ones ie nice and smooth!"
