Pen turning has always attracted woodworkers with a taste for highly finished, eye-catching work. This tool is commonly used for preparing acrylic pen blanks.

The 8mm spindle roughing gouge has a shallower flute than a traditional roughing gouge. The shallow flute allows for more finesse and control when turning down to the required size. This reduces the chances of chipping and breakages, on these sometimes brittle materials.

Compatible with the red Robert Sorby Modular Micro Handles.
