"The handle was duly drilled to take a new long-hole borer, the latter in turn fixed in place with rapid-drying Araldite. Fifteen minutes later the job done; no sweat. I hall had a go at a couple of table lamps during the next couple of days. They seem to have 'turned out' OK after my amateurish efforts!
