AWGB 2026 Festival of Woodturning
The Association of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB) are hosting their first Festival of Woodturning this October!
For many years, the AWGB has organised biennial seminars to promote the craft of woodturning in the UK and help develop the knowledge, skills and techniques of AWGB members and other woodturners. These events have been hugely successful, attracting demonstrators and delegates from across the globe.
This year, however, the event is changing. The traditional seminars are being replaced by a Festival of Woodturning – not an academic event, but a weekend designed to celebrate the sheer enjoyment of creating on the lathe.
Also new for this year is a Gala Dinner, taking place on Saturday evening. There is no dress code, and the evening will also feature an auction with prizes donated by demonstrators and other well-known woodturners.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy demonstrations from 10 top demonstrators, showcasing a variety of European woodturning techniques, as well as masterclasses. Places for these demonstrations are limited, so be sure to sign up early.
You’ll also find a range of companies exhibiting on trade stands – including us! – giving you the opportunity to discover the latest tools, equipment and products for woodturning, all under one roof.
Join us at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon from Saturday 10th to Sunday 11th October, where you’ll be able to see a selection of the latest and greatest Robert Sorby tools, all available to purchase!
