Most electric motor tools and air rotary tools are bulky and hard to control. They vibrate and give off a lot of heat. The Powercrafter is the size of a large writing pen. It gives off no heat and no vibration. Other electric and air rotary tools can only turn up to 30,000-50,000 rpm. Even with a flex shaft or pencil grinder attachment, these tools do not come close to the precise control the Powercrafter can deliver.

Carvers Vice
Any good carver's vice should be adjustable in all three dimensions. The Veritas vice has full rotation in two and up to 75mm of height adjustment in the third. An internal arrangement of a spring and an 'O' ring ensures that repositioning the workpiece is a smooth, controlled operation, with no violent swings or movements, allowing precise placement for the next angle of attack. The layout of the base enables the vice to be mounted in a variety of ways, clamped in a vice, permanently fixed to a bench or through a 19mm dog hole with the optional dog mounting kit. The mounting plate provided with the vice is 90mm diameter and there is an additional 50mm diameter one also available. |
